Well,
let's see what kids and parents can and can’t doing the summer holidays….
For
Children:
Getting up late from bed during the holidays is
the usual way for children. Not to mention the summer vacation season. But this
is not correct. Arise at regular times during school days. So, get up, go on a
brisk walk, and get involved in sports. Otherwise, spending too much time
sleeping is not healthy.
Read the newspaper. Practice folklore and world
knowledge. Learn some new words every day and learn how to use them. Learn a
new hobby to use and spend some time in it every day. If you are weak in a
particular subject, ask the senior, known teachers, and try to overcome that
weakness. You can go to the next class with greater confidence.
Organize items,
places for yourself, get rid of unnecessary, old stuff. Give old books to
deserving ones. Do some small community service. Prepare books and notes for
the new class, beautifully layered and ready with the label. Don't spend too
much time on video games, smartphone. They will freeze your senses and put you
in a state of machination.
For
Parents:
Take your children on a short-term excursion if they
have the time and convenience. When it comes to tourism, it does not have to be
luxurious. Even a little-known place nearby brings new knowledge and happiness.
Let your child feel the simplicity, the joy in nature. Take or send children to
your parent’s (grandparents) home.
Let them know the real world beyond the
computer and smartphone. Get used to doing housework. It may be repairing the
room and bed, regulating the cupboard, and repairing minor repairs. Even if it
teaches children the basics of cooking, it will help them later. Sit with the
children for an hour each day. Share your childhood memories. Listen to what
they say. Eat as much as you can together. If possible, take your children to the place where you
work.
Let them know how hard you work for the family. Finally, ... singing
class, Hindi class, do not take children throughout the holidays. Let them be a
little relaxed!
